Zac is hiccuping.
A lot.
Every evening there will be at least one bout of hiccuping which seems to last for a very long time, often two bouts – one after I’ve eaten dinner and one when I go to bed. There is usually a bout or two during the day as well. I am still not used to the sensation, They are just like normal hiccups, only coming from my pelvis instead of my chest. And I have no ability to stop them. Weird.
The OB says this is excellent; it means that Zac is practising his breathing. Sure it’s amniotic fluid instead of oxygen, but any child of mine is going to be half-amphibious anyway, right?! All I can say is that he is practising breathing with a vengeance; he is going to breath with intensity and forcefulness, oh yes he is.
It will be nice to have him breathing outside of my pelvis though!
I love this. I’m so excited for you guys!
LOL 🙂
