We had one of our oh-so-rare meetings with our supervisor today. There are five of us working for this BOE, yet I hardly see any of the others. After the meeting, which I’m sure broke the record for shortest meeting ever (10 min), I was telling the others about yesterday. I found out from Rhiannon that Wakayama does have a special school for students who bully others and/or have violent tendancies. However, in true Japanese logic-defying manner, it is also the school for the incredibly shy and quiet students who can’t go to normal schools either. Brilliant! *shakes head in disbelief*
I some macabre way, I’m finding that hilariously funny. Still keyed up from yesterday. You think?! The ridiculousness, the absurdity just really gets to me. I just can’t imagine any other country in the world thinking that would be a good idea. or maybe I just need to get out more.
No matter how long I live here, there is always something else to bewilder, baffle and befuddle me.
