Hire a housekeeper
At first I didn’t listen because we already had someone coming and cleaning regularly. She left last October and we were managing okay on our own so didn’t replace her straight away. Started the process of finding a new person a couple of weeks ago, but again didn’t give the task high priority so it didn’t get completed. At the moment things are okay – between Rafe and his Mum it is like having little house fairies around; somehow floors are being mopped, bed linen is being changed, meals are appearing, the dishwasher is filling and emptying and all I am doing is occasionally putting the washing machine on. But this cannot last and soon Rafe will be back at work full time and Sue will need to resume her life activities and I imagine I will still be in the cycle of feeding, pumping and sleeping! I really enjoy having a clean and (mostly) tidy environment so a housekeeper will be desirable for all of our sanity.
