I’m all toasty warm and snuggly today. I have very soft, warm, purple jacket/cardigan top thing, courtesy paying money money to UniQlo – an unimaginative chain store here which does have the distinct benefit of occasionally stocking things which fit me, a godsend when needing/wanting new basics. It is all part of my plan to take winter by it’s frosty ears and tell it “you have no power over me” It probably won’t look as magical as Sara falling through the goblin time back to reality, and won’t be over as quick… but I’m gonna be ready.

Sure. Lots of stuff in Japan looks like David Bowie–stick figurey and leggy, too-tight clothes, big scary hair, monster lips and too much shine, mascara and glitter. Come to think of it, David Bowie actually IS Japan…

On one end of Tokyo, we have the slimy, scaly, fifty-story monster with radioactive fire-breath, and on the other we have a man with enormous monster lips, wearing dangerous amounts of hairspray and spandex, who may have enough glitter and sheer-star power to defeat the evil lizard of the deep. In the middle of the city we have hordes of screaming nihonjin alternately running and snapping photos with their ketai. Who wants to call the play-by-play?
I’d favour ring-side commentary by Iggy Pop and Don King, but who are we kidding, Bowie would probably end up getting mugged in his makeup room by Godzilla’s wire team – those guys are really sneaky…
