I do like weekends:-)

I hibernated and feel much better for it. Long phone calls with whitmanschild and tracybelle did wonders for my mood. Hearing my darling Ophelia is healthy and happy, also good..being rushed off the phone by her caretaker has left me…nonplussed I guess. But then that’s just her. *shrug* At least I know Ophelia will be getting all the loving and attention there that I would give her!

In other news, winter is coming. And those here last year know what that means in Wak-Shi……

TOGA PARTY AT AMBER’s!!!!

That’s right, time to don those lovely sheets and pretend for an evening that we are in warm temperate climes, and snub our noses at winter’s cold breath.

This shindig will be happening Saturday December 4th, from 7pm until the wee hours….
mulled wine and apple cider will be provided, futons for those crashing (if you make it to sleep 😉
byo toga, other alcomahol, a sense of fun and silliness

spread the word to all you’re willing to vouch for *grin*

Third time lucky?

After missing the first one (and still regretting it!), I won’t be able to make it to the Toga Party this year either since it’s the night before I’ll be taking the JLPT in Saitama. Crap! I know where I’d rather be…

Any plans for another one, or will I have to wait until next winter (if we’re both still here!)?

Yay! Our poi stuff got shipped today! I’ll let you know as soon as it’s in!

Re: Third time lucky?

Damn! I know where I’d rather you be too! And the JLPT is just no competition 😉 Actually I got excited with your heading cos this _is_ the third toga party. I don’ t think I added in all the far away people to the last emailing. Don’t worry there’ll be another one probably in this JET year…I hd one in June, and I’m sure by next June, or eralier, a forth will be looking good *grin*.
I keep thinking I should expand out, come up with some other themes, but everyone keeps asking for another toga party…and my japanese friends are gradually warming up to the idea. Maybe it could be my goal that by the last toga party _everyone_ is doing it legit – nothing but sheets!

Re: Third time lucky?

I’ll wait patiently for my invite to the 4th toga party then… and don’t you dare even think about changing the theme! I can’t wait to don a sheet in Wakkers – assuming I can find one without Hello Kitty, or some other random character, emblazoned all over it… but then again, maybe that adds to the charm of a Japanese toga party! Have a good weekend!
