A warm note to end this rotation on

Returning to the staffroom with Mr Nishioka – one of the four teachers I work with whom I actually admire and respect – he thanked me and commented that I had done great work with him this time round. *warm fuzzy seeps through winter chilled limbs* This especially meant something to me because the first rotation at this school, he kept telling me to relax and not be so nervous. I’d found this quite off-putting and disconcerting because I hadn’t thought I was nervous. Now I look back and I think the difference is I’ve relaxed with him and my personal teaching style is developing, and coming out more in class. This is a good feeling, TM.

totally

when I got here, even with teaching under my belt in the past, I was like, “What, you want me to go in there alone?” Now it’s more like “Get out of my way so I can teach!” I wonder. Can we REALLY do it better than they can, or do we just think we can? Personally, I think we really can. Ha ha. 😉
