Internt shopping your friend. Yeah right.

Why does ordering stuff from the US have to be such a complete pain in the arse? Is it just me? Do they all hate me and want to make it as difficult as possible – cos arranging to ring during their business hours and getting to the bank to do a wire transfer is such a piece of cake. Phil, the sales rep I spoke to on Tuesday morning STILL hasn’t sent an email with wire transfer details and final amount including postage. *grump* *pout* After Monday, the next day I would be able to get to a bank is Wednesday week. Grrrr. I get a much better deal with ordering from this place but is it worth it? Apart from Amazon, ordering stuff via the net from America has not really proved to be a good experience – there’s the pc which took, in total, 9 months to get; the flamenco practise clothes which never appeared once I’d sent the money, somehow think that’s my fault; and now “Abe’s of Maine” can’t see fit to send an email they promise. Grrrr, grrrr, grrrrrr. This means more research to find somewhere else or someway else of getting the kit I want.
I have no real basis of comparison, having not ordered from any other countries, but so far my impression of American customer service for net orders is that it SUCKS.

I want my camera NOW *stamps foot. Goes to corner to sulk*

first rule of ordering stuff from the internet – keep track of everything = all numbers and emails and everything.

second rule – ask around people will soon tell you good and bad places – googling will also get you this info – with the web if someone has a bad experience with a place they can scream about it.
