odd bods

PMS owns me today.
Combining crowds of Shinsaibashi and PMS: not a good idea
Even if it is in search of something comforting and unattainable in Wakayama.

Good opening line for interviewing the male pop star you have on your show: So, you have a really girlish face don’t you? I mean, you really do look like a girl, don’t you?

A premise for “entertaining” tv: have people tell a panel of celebs something which feels good to them (何か気持ちいい) Egs include, opening pump bottles of lotion, winding on the film of a disposable camera, popping those poppers with streamers and such, then winding all the streamers back into your hands.

Being around a baby all weekend made me miss Ophelia terribly. Yet more proof of my oddness. Surely most people when faced with extended time with babies either go all clucky and want one themselves or are reminded why they have vowed not to breed. I’ve not yet heard one person say they missed or wanted their cat as a result.

My Kyoto family are awesome. My host Dad is a fountain of knowledge and never misses an opportunity to impart some random knowledge on those around him. My host Mum and sis, Waka, both initiate hugs goodbye now.

It rained today, still is in fact, so the planned photos in Kyoto did not happen 🙁

I have no patience to go through x amount of crap to order the kit I want from America. Am now researching stuff available in Japan and searching for best prices. I will however write to the company to let them know that they just lost a customer and why.

I am doing nothing tonight. I do not have to work tomorrow, or the next day, or the next day nor even the day after that! I have two classes on Friday, and an enkai with the English teachers Friday night – a kind of welcome to the new ones, good bye to the ones no longer in English dept (they’re still all at same school). this is thw second enkai I’ve been invited to in my almost two years here. It’s not that they don’t happen often-ish. It’s just that I don’t get invited. Yay for schools including me. An aside though, given the cost is about $65 each, I’m kinda relieved I’m not invited to more!

I am on yahoo messenger…none other than gypsyambercat (I thought I might mix things up a bit, use a name never used before!)

Am now going to wander onto different screen and sort out inbox into some semblence of order.

Melissa and I agreed that we would be willing to breed if we could have kittens or puppies instead of babies…hahah that’s SO JUNIOR HIGH.

Host family action rules.

YAY for time off. And I agree about your thing w. crowds- some days I just cant deal w. so much human energy.

I just don’t get how a population of people so rumoured to be efficient and time-pressed can fart-arse around and bring all forward progress to a teeth-grinding slowness.

The old shinasaibashi bashi has totally gone too. They’ve opened up one side of what they were working on, and it has steps leading down to a walkway by the canal (all the easier for those tigers fans to jump in!) but the old stone bridge is gone, which kinda makes me sad too.

well, i may not be a male pop star (yet!!) but i hear the girlie-face line like every day! jeezus CHRIST, people. doesn’t it seem a little rude to say that to a total stranger?!?!

gypsyamberMay 2, 2005 - 1:36 am

I guess no more rude than telling a perfect stranger she has big tits and can I touch them, or that she’d be quite pretty really if she weren’t so fat. *shrug* Maybe they have a secret competition of who can the most the insulting thing with a smile on their faces and an attitude like they’re giving a compliment.
