I am dreaming photography now…not just that I’m doing it, but really detailed dreams of composing shots, deciding how much I want in focus, what effects I want and what settings to use to best capture the feeling and image I want. To the point where, half-woken by the torrential rain last night, I was already sitting up in bed focusing my ‘camera’, trying to keep it steady enough to capture the rain! (there was nothing in my hands, of course). Ooh, maybe I should be going to bed with my camera. Could be interesting waking up and seeing what I’ve done during the night. Hmmmm … sleep photography – a whole new realm!
When studying Japanese, I knew I was progressing when I started dreaming in Japanese (and I often slept-talked and slept did things in Japanese, so my boyfriend of the time told me)… I wonder if this is the same thing?
Incidently my new baby arrives sometime this morning! Whooot!!!!!
Well, I for one would be interested to see what you ended up photographing in your sleep. Would we get half-focussed shots of a pillow, or perhaps would your dreams be so intense you could take photos of *them*!? That’d be sweet…
Hi! I am that guy notatumor told/warned you about.
The thing I hate about dreaming about making art is that when I wake up the art is gone. Does it mean that if we make something in our dreams we could make it in real life? I used to have dreams about skateboarding, but when I tried the move the next day at lunch I would bail…
Anyways, nice to meet you.
