Test Time = Free Time

There are tests at school today and yesterday so I have been spending my hours at my desk sorting through the copious amounts of music received from Todd and Ches. I’m discovering new musicians whilst allocating single tracks into genre folders and ensuring all file names are written in the same order (Yes, I can be anally retentive sometimes. It bothers me to see files named in different ways!)
However Custard juts randomly shut down the folder I’m working from and won’t open it again. *grrrr* I’ve been having so many little problems with her lately, which hardly seem worth sending her away for, but there’s currently not a time I use her without something random happening. So frustrating. I know I’m gonna have to send her away to get things fixed but the thought of being without her for a week or more is horrible…it would mean no internet at home, no insane amount of music, no ability to download and play with photos. *gulp* I can’t think of any time it would be ‘good’ for me to be without her so I’m just going to have to bite the bullet and call Toshiba today 🙁 Fortunately, Jarrod supplied me with details for the Toshiba service centre in Tokyo, and they speak English, which saves me having to explain probs in Japanese, or even worse, send it back to the US.

Oh, stuff I forgot to mention about The Zoo. First morning back, the staff meeting was taken up with discussion of an intruder who had broken in on Sunday, stealing test papers and a few other things. The police were asking that all teachers check all the desks thoroughly and report if anything was missing. Great. Apparently 7 cop cars arrived, containing at leat 3 cops each, in response to the security breach. Overkill much? Or was there something else they knew/suspected about the intruder?

I discovered the other day that the Wakayama Prison is about a km away from The Zoo – This is not the affluent area of town by any means.

The toilets here are growing an algae-like substance on the floors. This is the most mentionable of the grossness of the toilets at this school.

I’m having fun here – can you tell?
