There is no escape

Beside my apartment building they are putting up a new apartment block. 3 weeks of sick leave spent listening to all the dulcet sounds of hammering, jackhammering, sawing and construction workers singing at the top of their lungs.

Behind the new house, there are two townhouses being built. Anytime spent over there during the day is filled with their building sounds.

Neither of these are much of an issue now I’m back at work. However, they are also renovating the Old Engineering building, currently with jackhammers.

There simply is no escape from the sounds of construction. It’s just a pity I have to hear people ask me questions, otherwise I’d be getting myself some of those heavy duty ear muffs too!
