Amusing students

We are doing a worksheet where my second years must write at least four sentences about their town. The standards are: “I live in Wakayama city. It is in the north of Wakayama prefecture. It’s famous for it’s Kimiidera temple. I love Wakayama very much.”
Then I read this one and it cracked me up. He got three stamps for originality and amusement value:
I live in Wakayama. Wakayama is north of Australia. There are not any good sports. But I love Wakayama. It’s famous for Kimiidera Temple. The rivers in Wakayama are not clean. So we can’t swim in the rivers.

*still chuckling*
