Decisions

I have decided not to go to Pheno. After looking at the website, and discovering there really weren’t *that* many games I wanted to play I have been umming and ahhing whether to go or not. My main reason for going really is that I want to play Fi and Renee’s game which I missed at Arc, and I’ve really enjoyed meeting various Canberrites and other interstaters and want to continue the connection building process. As most know, I’m not good enough with email to do that long distance!

However with vet costs looking to be a regular, ongoing occurence and me still not feeling ready to work full time yet, it does seem silly to go up essentially for one game and the social side of things, when everyone else will be playing all the games and therefore not completely around to be social with. Discussing it with Fi last night, she suggested I come up for the weekend of Ryan’s games with her instead. I like this idea very much as his games intrigue me and it will be more of a blend of socialties and roleplaying.

So, sorry delwyn., I won’t be driving up anymore…though I was looking forward to it. I haven’t done a long road trip in *ages*. Ah well. Next year, maybe.
