BBQ at Bear and Tiggrr’s house!
We haven’t had a BBQ in some time – so its about time we did!
What are you saying? It’s still winter? Well I saw the first tree in full blossom on my way home and the jasmine is out in my back yard – so it’s nearly spring!
Do I need a better reason?
Ok
Umm – We need motivation to mow our back yard – there could be a small tribe of African pygmies living back there we don’t know about.
And as Amber has a couple of American friends visiting – lets show em how a good old Aussie BBQ is done.
When – Sunday 19th August, from 1pm and finishing around 5pm.
BYO – Dead Animal, booze and stubby holders
Where – our house 🙂
RSVP – Because it makes catering so much easier.
I’ll make some nice salads and probably even a Pavlova or Chocolate Ripple Cake (or ask my kid sister to) 🙂
So if you feel the need to bring anything else – I wouldn’t mind some traditional Aussie desserts or salads. I’ll probably just do the ubiquitous potato salad of my childhood, along with some curried eggs, tomato and onion, and a tin of beetroot 🙂
Also – and I’m now sticking this disclaimer on the end of all my party posts.
Please clean up after yourselves and respect our hospitality! I do NOT want to pick up half eaten plates of meat all over the house, its really easy to put something in a rubbish bin.
