I turn 30 in just two days. I am so excited! I’ve never been excited by age milestone birthdays- -I went all the way to japan to avoid my 21st! But this one I have been looking forward to for the past couple of years, and now even more so.
So many complete shifts in the past year. It was a year ago today that I landed back in Melbourne, very much against my will and with spirit feeling quite shattered into pieces. The months following only served to grind the pieces into dust, but now…
Now I feel like a whole new person. Goals have shifted. A part of me has opened up which I didn’t even know existed until zen_cat came along. It amuses and bemuses me. Like the universe has had a private little joke with me.
It’s been a year of great upheaval; a year of learning to walk again, both literally and emotionally; a year of refocusing and redefining what I want out of life and what I value.
I feel so *ready* to launch into my 30’s. I’m excited by the idea of taking all that I’ve learnt in my 20’s and now applying them to the life I want for my 30’s. I don’t feel like I’m stumbling around half-clueless anymore and uncertain of myself.
It’s an exhilarating feeling!

Well speaking from my own experience turning 30 was a big improvement in my life. after all, who on earth would want to be a teenager after going through it once?

I had exactly the same feeling – I looked forward to turning 30 and it has not disappointed (two years into my 30s and it is definitely the best stage of life so far). I’m so pleased to hear that things are falling into place for you, you really only deserve wonderful things. Lots of love in advance for your birthday and do you have a new telephone number to go with the new house or new mobile? (obviously for no particular reason …;)
