gypsyamberSeptember 20, 2007 - 4:10 am

THANK YOU!!!! Man it feels so good!

jokrackSeptember 20, 2007 - 5:11 am

YAY! Sounds like a good position!!

gypsyamberSeptember 20, 2007 - 5:32 am

It is. It’s part of the restructuring that melb uni is undergoing right now.

I’m just so grateful to for giving me the casual position that I’ve been at all year, which gave me the toe in the door. Many of the uni positions don’t get advertised outside of uni. As it was, I had to wait until they opened up remaining positions to casual staff.

2 year contract! 2 years of knowing what hours I’ll be working, and having sick leave, annual leave, superannuation and a definite income. Whoot!

lirionSeptember 20, 2007 - 6:05 am

Oh well done darling! That’s fantastic news, I’m thrilled for you

weaselfetishSeptember 20, 2007 - 6:27 am

A very happy Weasel sends hugs to the happy gypsy.
Well done and may I say Wooot!

gypsyamberSeptember 20, 2007 - 6:39 am

Thank you. I’m very thrilled too! Things seem to be just slotting into place now. Damn, it’s a nice feeling!

gypsyamberSeptember 20, 2007 - 6:39 am

You may indeed, and I may join you…

WHOOOOOT!!!!!!

halloranelderSeptember 20, 2007 - 11:40 am

Yes!

Patting our cats must have been good luck. Speaking of which, thank you very muchly for looking after them. They (and we) appreciate it).

nephthys_secretSeptember 21, 2007 - 1:53 am

Am I too late to send Congrats too. Well done. A two year contract is fantastic.

gypsyamberSeptember 21, 2007 - 6:05 am

You’re most welcome. We need to work out a time for me to drop off your keys, and pick up the dvd player that I forgot about last week! I’m thinking next Tuesday night after work might be the way to go again, if that suits you..?

gypsyamberSeptember 21, 2007 - 6:06 am

No such thing as too late for sending congrats!

I am very excited and relieved to know what I’ll be doing, at least job-wise and financially, for the next two years.

nicked_metalSeptember 23, 2007 - 12:39 pm

No such thing as too late for sending congrats!

Oh good 😀

halloranelderSeptember 25, 2007 - 11:36 am

I checked with Travis to make sure tonight would be good (and it was) and then forgot to reply to tell you.

Doh!

Perhaps another time, or now if you like. Let me know.

I’ll try and stop being a blonde about now.
