I’m very behind on lj and email and everything right now. A week of home with no internet does that. Fortunately I’ve heard that Virgin have some sort of wireless no-contract internet set-up available, so with any luck my next two weeks won’t be totally internet-less.
I do however have a convenient internet cafe nearby, although not nearby enough for me to feel totally comfortable should I crash.
My plane leaves tomorrow morning, without me on it.
Turns out the ear infection probably never was. What I actually have is called Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, only rather than the vertigo being a momentary thing which happens when I move my head, it is with me fairly constantly. I had a two week break, when I thought the “infection” had passed, but then the dizzies hit again badly last Tuesday and haven’t budged.
It’s good to finally have a proper diagnosis that makes sense, and to have treatment for it. However it will be about two weeks before I know if the treatment has been successful, during which time I have to be very careful with my head, limiting all movements and avoiding actions which induce the vertigo whilst keeping my head vertical as much as possible – kinda hard when it being vertical is generally what sets off the vertigo!
Please wish all luck that this is gone and past by the time I start my new job October 17.
*hugs you gently*
That’s an awful run of luck you’ve had 🙁 All my wishes for a quick and complete recovery and that karma has something awesome in store for you.
Oh no!
But you should talk to who had something very similar a little while back…
Oh no! I hope it clears up right-quick. That sucks.
Good luck! (All my fingers crossed)
That’s no good – fingers crossed for you, honey.
Bugger!
*hugs*
Love you lots.
