My, oh my

Wakayama certainly is a rocking little prefecture of late. A typhoon last Monday, two earthquakes Sunday night, another typhoon on its way today (school has been canceled) and then during morning staff meeting, yet another quake. Someone’s got something to say, that’s for sure. Now, just gotta see how long before I can go home. I’ll never understand why, if it’s considered unsafe for students to come to school on the morning of a typhoon, why is it consdered ok to keep teachers at school until the last possible minute? Surely its just as unsafe for us as for the students?!?

Nuh uh

Save the Teachers, I say!
Tis ok now tho, I’m safe. The rest of the teachers are still stuck at school in meetings and whatnot though. Admittedly, they have cars and won’t be stranded if trains stop running, but still, wouldn’t want to be driving in this wind either.

Gawd, humans. We’ll live anywhere, won’t we. Damn optimistic bunch we are. Stay safe!

Oh I am. I’m tucked up in my apartment, with new stack of dvds from Trace (catwoman! Hooray!) and food to last, oh at least until tonight! Here is where I’m staying today. *nods head decisively*

Good good. Don’t forget, as they sing on Avenue Q, “the Internet is for porn”.
